A SCHOOL DESTROYED

AUCKLAND. Nov. 27.
The Inspector of Police has received:' notification that the public school at Herekino was destroyed by fire on Thursday night. The circumstances lead to suspicions cf incendiarism.
ELEVEN-ROOMED HOUSE BURNED
PALMERSTON X., Nov. 27. An eleven-roomed house at Longburn. occupied by J. A. Mitchell, was totally destroyed by fire at 3 o’clock this morning-. Nothing was saved. The house was insured for £6OO and: the furniture for £2OO in the Royal office.
