THE INQUEST.

At the adjourned inquest concerning the death of Thomas Joseph McCarthy, formerly of Masterton. which took place after the deceased had fallen from the train at tho Upper Hutt, the Government analyst said lie had examined tho contents cf deceased’s stomach, and found that there, was sufficient strychnine £o -cau.se death, The deceased’s widow said that McCarthy used to suffer from heart trouble, for which lie took tabloids. She did not know what they .contained. The Coroner (Dr. McArthur, SAX.) said he was not prepared to say there was no doubt that ’the deceased took liis own life. From .the medical evi-
