The following handicaps have 'been declared by Mr. W. Howard for the cycle road, race -from "Taylor’s store, 'Whataupoko, to Bruce’s store and 1 back on Thursday evening*, starting at 6 p.m, sharp: Len. Wilkinson, F. Mawhinney, 8. Whitehead, scratch; C. fl’mi I*ll bes Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 29. A meeting of the stewards of the Timaru.to Christchurch cycle road ,race was held to-night to consider protests against several riders. After evidence had been taken and the matter discussed, it was decided to disqualify two men for accepting a ride in a motor car, and J ; Arnst for accepting! pace from It. Arnst, the latter at the time having ceased to be a competitor in the race. It was also decided to call on- A. B. L. Smith to show cause why he should not- be disqualfied for receiving pace from a motor.
