CBates’ summary and forecast : Foggy weather has been unusually persistent on the east coast. • South-easterly bre'ezes have prevailed, A thunderstorm occurred „ with heavy' rain, before noon to-day at Cape Egmont. •Present indications are for. a change south or New Plymouth and Napier, where the baroriieter will shortly probably 'fall fast. AThe winds' will probably veer by east to northward, and ■increase strong to -gale under the influence of the westerly, disturbance now apparently approaching tile South Island. The winds will-also probably change to "-northerly after about IS hours over the north, and general rain may be expected to follow within the next Awo days. ■ •• , ■ , ,
