The following was the cargo for this port by the XJ.S.S. Co.’s Squall, which arrived here late on Monday night: 540 bags sugar, 30 packages furniture, 30 kegs nails and staples, 10 chests tea, 30 100’s flour, 60 50’s flour, 70 sacks flour, 130 bags cement, 50 bundles wire, 573 pieces timber, 13 cases galvanised iron, 40 cases matches, 449 drain pipes, 70 bars and bundles iron, 30 cases drited fruits, 20 cases tinned fruits, 20 bags tsait, 20 sacks lime. 40 cases sulphuric acid, 230 bundles boxes, 10 cases meiScine, 100 cases kerosene, 20 cases syrups, 10 .cases spirits. 1000 bricks. ICO boxes clothes pegs, 80 kegs grease, 240 sacks coal, and a quantity of sundries; also 50 tons transhipments ex Star of Scotland. The vessel experienced very heavy weather all down the coast, and was unable to work Tologa Bay. She returned on her northern trip last night. The U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera arrived from South this morning, and sails again during the forenoon for Auckland. The Tuatea leaves the wharf at G a.m. and 9.30 a.m. The. following have booked passages:—Miss Woodrough; Mesdames Reynolds. Porter and infant, and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. •ieLautour; Messrs Langland, A. P. Friend, Taylor, E. Cade, W. Johnston, Erwin. C. Taylor, C. Marshall, and Wareliine Rukingi.

The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Victoria arrives from Auckland and Sydney this afternoon, and continues her trip south in the evening. She will be tendered on arrival, and with outward passengers at 7 p.m The weather on the coast having moderated, it is expected that the LT.S.S. Co.’s Flora will he able to resume work. After transhipping wool at Gisborne and Napier, the Flora proceeds to Westport to load coal for Auckland.

The U.S.S. Co.’s Wanaka is expected to load at Bluff on December 8, Oamaru December 10, Timaru December i.l, and should arrive at Gisborne about December 14. The New . Zealand Shipping Crt.’s new mail steamer Ruahine left Plymouth on Saturday on her maiden.voyage to New Zealand. ’ : "The New Zealand Shipping Coi’s Opawa is due to arrive from Auckland on Friday to load for the Home markets. Captain White-Parsons is in command of the vessel.

The s.s. Athenic arrived at Wellington yesterday afternoon from London, via Hobart.
