Prince Estel Frederick, representing the -Kaiser at the launch Of the Thueringen, declared that the systematic development of a high seas fleet was the- best guarantee of the -tranquil expansion of industry. The fleet was becoming ever more the vehicle of the Imperial idea. Whereever the flag had flown, wherever joyous festivities or serious work had w*on honor and renown, it had reaped the acknowledgement of the whole world.
