THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast: The barometer has fallen everywhere slowly in the north, but consderably in the. southern districts. Northerly gales are now reported in the Foveanx Strait and on the east coast of the South Island. - Moderate to strong easterly winds prevail elsewhere. The weather lias been warm, humid, and cloudy; showery in parts. The present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere;,- unsettled cloudy weather with rain probable everywhere, and thunderstorms in parts, especially to-morrow evening. Northerly winds, strong to gale, are probable generally.
