PRODUCE SALES
Messrs E. S. Malcolm and Co. report the following prices at their Saturday sale: Fowls 2s to 2s 6d, roosters 2s to 2s 9d ducks 2s 6d .to 2s 9d. pullets Is Id,' eggs l s Id and Is 2d, butter 8d to lOd, gooseberries 2d and 2rid, lemons Gd doz raspberries Is,- potatoes Id, peas ls’andMs 3d peck, cabbages 2s to 2s 9d doz, rhubarb 4 S doz, small vegetables as usual. . Messrs Miller and Craig report the following prices: Hens 2s Id to 2s id, roosters 2s to 2s 7d, ducks 2s 3d and 2s 7d chickens lOd and lid, peas ls 6d peck, ’ cauliflower 4s doz., cabbage 2s doz. carrots 2s doz bundles, neoy potatoes’ Id and lid, gooseberries 3s lb, rhubarb 4d bundle, butter 8d and 9d lb, canaries 5s and 7s Gd pair, eggs Is 3a doz. HORSE SALES. Messrs "Williams and Kettle, Ltd., held their weekly horse sale on Saturday last. The bidding in the morning was slow, but improved in the afternoon, and most of the lots found purchasers at satisfactory prices. Fiftysix horses were yarded. Hacks realises from £2 to £l3, and harness horses from £6 to £IS. A number of ligi draughts were offered, but were passed in, the reserves not being reached. LONDON REPORTS. United Punas Association —C’orvitioin LONDON, Dec. 3. The-wool sales included Gore tops at 14id. The average was lid. Barley is in small supply. Chevalier sold at 30s to 34s 6d. Oats are dull of sale. Gar tons are at 20s to 22s 6d, and sparrowbills 19s 6d to 20s 9d; La Plata January-February shipments _l4s 3d. The cheese market is steady New Zealand is at 565.
