THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev., D. C. Baths’ summary and forecast: A westerly low pressure with moderate gradients has passed over the’country at the same time as the low pressure area northward of New Zealand, and winds have been variable and.weather,sultry. Rain has fallen in the southern districts. and squally weather was experienced on the east coast of the South Island; Present indications are for ft further fall in the barometer, with strong northerly and westerly winds. Changeable and showerv weather is probable south of New Plymouth and Napier, and warm and humid conditions elsewhere. The winds will probably' continue westerly generally for about 36 hours before veering round to southerly.
