AN EMPLOYERS’ PROTEST.

[Pkr Puesß Association.l PALMERSTON N., Dec. 6. At a meeting of the Manawatu Employers’ Association yesterday afternoon, the following motion was carried unanimously: “That this Association strongly protests against the action or the Government in at any time overriding decisions of the Arbitration Court, and considers that such interference is bound' eventually to nullify the work of the Arbitration Court, and is against the interests of both employers and employees. The Association also strongly protests against the proposed amendment-to the Shop and Offices Act as a direct, nullification of the existing award:” A well attended meeting of employers in the evening passed a similar resolution. ■ ' ‘
