She also stops at Limestone Island and loads 300 tons of cement for transhipment at Auckland. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.’s .Delphic was to have arrived yesterday, but has been delayed at Napier on account of the had weather, consequently she will not got here until tomorrow. The ketch Coronation is to sail today for Whitianga, provided the weather is favorable. The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora, loading coal at Greymouth for Napier, returns from the latter port to Picton, where sho will take on produce for Auckland. The U.S.S. Co.’s have decided to despatch the turbine steamer Maori from Wellington to Picton and back on Boxing Day at an excursion charge ■of 7s Cd per head. Efforts are being made, according to •a report published by the Dunedin “Times,” to effect a settlement of the impending litigation between the Otago Dock Trust and Messrs Scott Bros., the dock contractors. The main basis of shall forego the infliction of penalties tor delay in completion of the work, and that the contractors shall forego the claim of £20,000 compensation for alleged failure to provide a dredge for excavation purposes.
