THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. •Bates’ summary and. forecast: —The •weather has continued fine, warm and humid over the , North Island, hut considerable rain has fallen on the West 'Coast of the South Island, and some (showers in the extreme south. The 'barometer has fallen, in- the .southern 'districts, but there has been little niove<ment generally. The .present indications are -for unsettled weather everywhere, with strong northerly and high •westerly- .winds, especially about Code Strait, and a; falling barometer every- ! where. More rough westerly weather is probable before the . definite change 'to the south takes place, and this may tnow be expected after about 30 hours.
