Consequently the Government did not intend to ask Parliament to issue Trea-sury-bonds to cover the deficit as proposed in the Budget, but when the time arrived to meet the liabilities, tho Government would make temporary arrangements., .' •" Colonel Foxton' informed the First Lord of the Admiralty of the passing of the Naval Loan Bill and received a reply: “Congratulations to the British Empire.” 4 THE FEDERAL ELECTIONS: (Received December 9, 12.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 8. Mr. Dealtin informed the House that the Federal elections will take place a fortnight after,-Easter.
