Berlin newspapers, suggesting possibly that it refers to the missing Arctic explorer Andree, published a story on the authority of a missionary who had heard it from Eskimos in the farthest north that one day they were astonished to see what they described as a white bouse in the sky. It contained two men, half starved. After being partly restored they died, The missionary. saw several ropes among the Eskimos.
