The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Victoria arrived early on Saturday morning, and proceeded later for Auckland and Sydney. ~ . , The U.S.S. Co.’s Alonowai returned from Auckland yesterday, arriving •hero at 12.30. She got away for South earlv in the evening. Captain- R. E. Smith was in command of the Monowai, Captain Bernech being laid up, through illness, at Dunedin. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall left Auckland on Saturday for Tologa and Gisborne. She arrives to-day and returns to-morrow afternoon. The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora arrived at Napier at 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, and leaves to-morrow evening for Picton to load 300 tons of produce for Auckland. She should pass through Gisborne for East Coast bays, leaving here on Friday. The T.yser liner Star of Scotland completed ioading on Saturday evening, find sailed for Napier. The New Zealand Shipping Co.’s chartered steamer Anglo-Saxon is expected here on the 16th, and loads for Home The schooner Awanui sails for Auckland via Tologa on Tuesday evening. Mr. W. D. Lysnar, for whose wool the Clan Ogilvie was to have called this ■week, has received advice from Mr. Scales, of AVellington, agent for the Clan lino of steamers, stating that iri view of the fact that Air. Lysnar had informed him that his wool was not ready, the Clan Ogilvie would not come here, but the Clan AlcFarhino would call at Gisborne after visiting Auckland, where she is due about the end of the month. The steamers Alexander and AVaimea of the Anchor Shipping and Foundry Company (Gisborne Sheepfunnors’ Co. local agents), arrive this week. The 'Alexander arrives on AVednesday from Westport with 280 tons of Stockton coal for Alessrs Robb Bros., and the AVaimea left Greymouth on Saturday evening with 350 tons of coal for the Gisborne Shecpfarmers’ Co. The s.s. Delphic took the following shipments: By the Gisborne SheepfarnuOrs’ Frozen Aleat Co., 8980 carcases mutton, 1310 carcases lamb, 1257 quarters beef, 132 casks tallow and pelts, and 3 bales, wool; by Dalgoty and Co., 69 bales wool: by Common, Shelton and Co., 373 bales wool; Alurray, Roberts and Co.. 3.4 bales wool; AVilHams and Kettle, 205 bales wool; Bennett and Sherratt, 177 bales wool. The Tokomaru, about the 2tßh iust., will be the next Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.’s boat to load at Gisborne. A Press. Association telegram from AVellington states that a reporter was informed on Saturday that it was the intention of the Union Steamship Co. to equip the more important of its! passenger steamers with wireless telegraphic apparatus, as soon as land connections were made in Australia and New Zealand;
