HARBOR WORKS.
[To The Edixoh.]
Sir, —Your local in reference to the cut in the groyne qualifies the remarks I made in respect to the fence and groyne constituting our present harbor. Independent of the qualified! engineer who has been, brought into requisition since Sir John Coode, the shipping circles appear to bo in the same perplexities as the representatives of oiir Harbor Board, and that is over the leviathan work of reducing the surrounding hills of this district, a work beyond l their reach as they are not possessed of the means required bv the Budget of Lloyd George or the advocacy of Winston Churchill. —I am, etc. ’ D. MURRAY.
