MEETING AT NAPIER. (Special to “Times.’’) NAPIER, Dec. 13. The Hawke’s Bay Education Board met this afternoon. The following were among tho items of business transIvaiti: A subsidy of £t 10s was granted for improvement to the school ground. ~ Otoko: A now cupboard w;as authorised to be supplied, and the Public Works Department is to be asked to supnlv a shelter slied and tank. Gisborne:, The Board considered that the new closets would be too close to tiie school in tho absence of a sewerage system, and the matter was referred back to the architect to again report. The Department declined to make a further grant for the Wairoa school.
