Mr Edward Saunders, of the staff of the “Lyttelton Times,” who went toEngland to assist Lieut, (now Sir Ernest) Shackleton in the compilation o£ - liis book on his recent expedition to the South Pole, arrived bac/k by the* Marama last week. Mr. A. H. Russell has been appointed by the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society as delegate to the proposed conference to consider the present position of the frozen meat trade.
