INVERCARGILL WOOL SALES
[Per Presb Association.] INVERCARGILL, Dec. 14. The ? first of the season’s wool sales was held to-day. About 4600 bales were catalogued in better condition and sounder than in previous years. Competition was strong, and the catalogue was nearly all .cleared. The highest price was 131 d for half-bred ewe wool; and prices all over showed 2d to 4d increase on last year s. lne range of prices was: Half-bred, good to super 12a to 13ld, medium to good 10Jd to 113 d, inferior to medium 9d to lOd; fine crossbred, good to super 11 Rl 1 to 13d, medium to good 101 d to llld, inferior to medium 9-Jd to 101 d; strong crossbred, good to super ,10d to 11a, medium to good 9d to 93d, inferior to medium 7jd to.7|d.
