THUItSDAY COMPETITION
The Thursday competition matches were resumed at the Domain yesterday afternoon, in fine but extremely hot weather. The games were between Y.M.C.A.-United, and Alhambra-Te Rau, and gome good cricket was witnessed.
UNITED v. Y.M.C.A. These teams played on the turf wicket, with the matting laid down. Y.M.C.A., who had only nine men, batted first,. • and were all disposed of for 25 runs to the howling of Manning and Farrell.
