The Christchurch Racing Club’s summer meeting was concluded to-day at Plumpton, in sweltering hot weather, but with a fair attendance. The totalisator investments were £4226 10s, making £7970 for the meeting, an increase of £746 10s oi; last year. Fourteen bookmakers were licensed, at fifteen 'guineas each. While contesting the Spreydon -Hack Handicap, Rocky Knob broke a fetlock and was destroyed. The following are the results of the racing:— C . Kindergarten Handicap, SOsovs, for 2-year-olds; 5 furlongs— Firegjow 7.9, 1; Martino 8.6, 2;■ Susa 7.9, 3. Also started: True Knight 8.4, K-ora 7.9, Frivolliti 7.7, and Little Senior 7.7. Won by a length. Time, lmin 3 4-5 sec.

Midland Welter Handicap, 70sov.s, 7 furlongs.—Boutade 9.3, 1; De Witte 8.10, 2; Zetland 9.6, 3. Also started: Gold Braid 8.13, Loyola 7.7. Won by a length. Time, linin 29 3-ssec. Anniversary Handicap, 200sovs, 9 furlongs.—Wet Day 7.5, 1 ; Passion 7.10, 2; Tikitere 7.8, 3. Also started: Ingoda 88., Field Gun 8.7, Rose Noble 8.1, White Cockade 7.5, and Grand Slam 6.7. Won by a length and aquarter. Time, lmin 56sec. Spreydon Hack Handicap, 70sov.s, 1 mile—Genuine 7.3, 1; Glen-field 6.7, 2 ; Montreal 8.2, 3. Electric Handicap, lOOsovs, 5 furlongs.—Silk Web'9.s, 1; Federal 9.13, 2; Ilarita 8.13, 3. Also started : Rock Ferry 8.5 -and The Seer 7.9. Won by a length. Time, lmin 2 3-ssec. Sockburn Plate, 50sovs, 5 furlongs.— Equivocate 8.7,1; Musterer 7.11, 2. Theresa 8.11 and Obligate 8.4 also started. The Seer was left ?.t the post and took no part in the race. Obligate won by half-a-length, hut his rider failed to draw the weight on returning to scale. Time, lmin 17sec. Farewell Handicap, SOsovs, 1 mile.— Monkey Puzzle 6.9, 1: Zetland 8.5, 2. The only starters. Won by a 'length and a-half. Time, lmin 44 3-ssec.
