PRODUCE SALES

The produce sales were well attended on Saturday morning in view of the Christinas season. The demand for poultrv was especially good. Wheat: Twenty-seven thousand .quarters of .Australian January shipment, and a cargo sold at 39s net; 10,000 quarters of December sold at 39s 6d. At the sheepskin sales 5350 bundles were offered. There was a good attendance, and fairly good competition. Merino clothings sold at par to id lower. Crossbred combings sold at par to id higher. The next sale will he held on the 20th January.
