Post Office.—Saturdays, the 22nd December and Ist January (Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) will be observed as close holidays. On Monday, the 27th inst (for Boxing Day) the office will be open in all branches, except money order and savings bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Receivers and posting boxes will be cleared on the evenings of Fridays, the 24th and 31st inst.. Mails usually-despatched on Saturdays will be closed on the Friday nights, the 24th and- 31st inst., at 7.30 p.m.. On the 27th inst. the usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be jnade. Receivers and posting boxes cleared accordingly. A delivery will be made by letter carriers on the afternoons of the 24'tli and '3lst iiist. On the 27th inst. one complete delivery >v letter carriers will be made, leaving the office at 7.30 a.m. On Friday evenings the 24th and 31st inst., a delivery of. town letters will be made between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. over the counter, and at parcels delivery wicket. Telegraph * Office.—-The following hours will be observed on Saturday (Christmas Day): 9.30 a.m. to 101 a.m., and 5 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. On Monday (for Boxing Daypand Saturday (New Year’s Day), 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and, 7 p.m. to midnight.
