Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Fanny left for Napier yesterday with 250 hales of wool for‘the Napier sales. The auxiliary schooner AVaiapu will probably get away for Auckland to-day. The U.S.S. It is certain that the Government, probably by representation on the directorate, will ensure for itself a controlling influence in the management of the company’s affairs. At present the Brazilian Government pays 4,229,000d01. annually in subventions to shipping, of which the Lloyd-Brazileiro receives 2,995,990d01. In 1902 the total annual subsidies amounted to 7,752,00d01., and of subsequent increases the Lloyd Brazileiro has always had the lion’s chare. lIY TELEGRAPH.
