THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast:—The weather lias been remarkably warm and fine, except about the East Cape and Gisborne, where shower s have fallen. Easterly winds have prevailed, with variable force. The present indications are for a falling- barometer everywhere, and are somewhat unfavorable, especially in the far north. An easterly gale is probable northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Raglan, and freshening northeriies. shortly elsewhere.- Squally and-cloudy weather is probable in the far north. Warm and hazy weather is probable generally.
