Co-.’s Monowai, through having been delayed, at Napier till II o’clock the previous night, owing to the late arrival of the express, did not reach Gisborne till nearly 6 a.in. yesterday. She.brought a big list of passengers for this port. The Monowai proceeded on her voyage to Auckland at 11 a.m. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Ruru arrived yesterday morning from South, bringing 140 two-tooth Romney rams, consigned through Messrs "Williams and Kettle, Ltd., for the Kiore station and Messrs Barker Bros. ; also five Hereford bulls for Messrs Barker .Bros., two polled Angus hulls for Mr. VW. D. S. .MacDonald, and one Shorthorn bull for Mr. "Mandor. She returned to Napier later in the day. Next week the Union S.S. Co.’s Tarawera, from South, will be a day late. An attempt will be made to work Napier and Gisborne in the one day (Wednesday). The 'U.S.S. Co.’s Mookia did not arlive here from Auckland till about 4.30 •yesterday afternoon. The Tuatea went out with a large number of outward passengers at 7 p.m., and the Mokoia got away later for South. Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. have received advice that the s.s. Gorin tbic reached Hobart at 9 o’clock yesterday morning. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall sailed for Auckland yesterday. The U.S.S. Co.’s Wanaka arrived from South early yesterday morning, and proceeded to Auckland later. She brought the following cargo for Gisborne:—From Bluff: 375 sacks oats, 77 eases preserved milk; from Oamaru, 129 sacks oats, 45 sacks wheat, 100 sacks 20 (100’s), 40 (50’s) flour; from Timaru, 76 sacks oats, 50 sacks flour.
