THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast: Rain lias fallen between East Cape' and Cape Palliser and last night in the extreme north, but elsewhere 'the weather lias been fine and very warm. Strong easterly winds have prevailed in the northern districts. The barometer has fallen slowly everywhere, and a further fall is expected, ? especially in the north, where strong easterly winds are probable, with rain. A change is probable generally after about thirty hours, when rain may be expected with moderate to strong southerly winds.
