DEFECTION OF NORTHERN ’ MINERS.

The northern miners” delegates have broken away from tlie Strike Congress. They held a meeting, and decided to reconstruct the Congress as representative of mine employees only. The meeting also resolved to take action with the view of furthering the cause of unionism and strengthening the position.
