GISBORNE CLUB

A match in the third round in the Handicap Singles of the Gisborne Club was played yesterday afternoon between Wootton and Benzie. The latter was somewhat indisposed, and the full number ,of heads were not played. Wootton won by 21 points to 13, including handicap allowances. TURANGANUI CLUB. At the Turanganui Bowling Club’s green yesterday afternoon a match in the competition for the Bennett Cup was played, the result being—w. Ratcliffe 25 heat T. McConnell 11.—The game was in Ratcliffe’s favor throughout and he had no trouble in keeping a commanding lead, being 24 to 4- on the 17th head, and winning easily by 14 points.
