A. F. WILDING WINS NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP.

The New Zealand tennis championship concluded to-day with the exception- of the last rounds of the combined doubles. The lesults were as follows: Men’s Championship Singles.—Semifinal: F. M. B. Fisher heat L. W. Hawkins, 6—2, 6 —0,. 6—4. Final: A. F. Wilding beat Fisher, 6 —l, 6—l, 6—l (87 aces to 51). Ladies’ Championship Singles.- — Semi-final: Miss L. Powdrell beat Miss Travers, 6—2, 4—6, 7—5; Miss K. Nunnelly beat Miss A. Gray, 6 —3, 12 —lO. Final: Miss Powdrell heat Miss Nunnelly, 6—2, 6 —2. Men’s Championship Doubles. —Semifinal: F. Wilding, senr., and A. F. Wilding beat H, W. Brown and J. C. Blair, 6—3, 6—4, 6—2. Final: F. M. B. Fisher and J. C. Peacock beat F. Wilding, senr., and A. F. Wilding, 9—7, 6—4, 5—7, 6—8,..6-2. Ladies’ Championship Doubles. — Final: Misses Powdrell and A. -Gray heat Misses Nunnelly and Braithwaite, 6-—2, 6 —3. , . Combined Championship Doubles. — Third round: Dr. Keith and Miss A* Gray beat G. Ebbett and Miss Eileen Well wood. 9—7, 6—3; E. Hickson and Miss L. Powdrell beat J. C. Peacock and Miss Braithwaite, 6—3. 6—4. One more match has to be played to complete the third round, then the semi-final and final. These contests will be played on Friday. r -
