TOE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. 1). C. Bates’ summary and forecast: Rain has fallen in the southern districts, and westerly gale s have been experienced about Cook and Foveaux Straits. The barometer has been very unsteady, and fallen low in the south .to-dav. The present indications are for stormy weather, especially southward of Kawhia and Castle Point. Strong westerlies prevailed northwards, and high northerlies in the south, with a falling barometer everywhere. Unsettled, hazy and cloudy weather is probable generally, and rain southward of Kawhia and Castle Point.
