Sailed again at 4 a.m. on the 30th. arriving as above. Experienced throughout fine clear weather, smooth sea, and following winds. The imports are as follows: 970 bags sugar, 40 50’s flour, 46 sacks flour, 20 kegs nails, 16 cases tea, 496 sacks coke, 60 bundles butter boxes, 6 cases icing. The Canterbury Shipping Co.’s s.s. Ripple arrived from South yesterday ■morning. She brought the following: * cargo:—From Oamaru: 40 200’s, 40 100’s, 120 50’s flour, 25 160’s bran. 20 200‘'s pollard, 114 sacks oats; from Timaru: 94 pieces timber, 852 sacks oats, SO R acks, 100 100’s, and 400 50’s flour, 22 sacks oatmeal, 40 sacks pollard, 25 sacks wheat; from Lyttelton:-. 60 sacks, 355 50’s, and 50 100’s flour, 291 sacks oats, 1 sack rape seed, 120 sacks grass seed, 2 sacks mustard seed. The Ripple left for Lyttelton last evening. The Tyser Co.’ R Nerehana arrived from Wellington-.'yesterday, and will load about 3500 bales of wool. She should sail for Napier on Monday.
