The secretary of the Northern Bowlin" Association (Mr. J. H. Me.ntiplay) lias received entries from eighty-mue rinks and 126 pairs for the tournament to be held on the Wellington city and suburban greens, commencing on Monday, January 10th. The rinks will be divided into nine sections of ten each, and tlie pairs into twenty-one sections SIX oacli. •. The Association’s certificate and four pairs of silver-mounted bowls, geld medals or trophies to the valppol L2 10s, will be given the winners 1 m the rink games, and a certificate and ivorymounted bowls, gold medals, or trophies to the value of 30s to the second team.
