YOUNG GARNET’S sire, Garnet, is by British Lion (imp.), dam Topaz, by Overdraft; grand-dam by Dugaale (imp.). Winner of First Prize and Society’s Medal for Draught Stallion at Poverty Bay A. and P. Society’s Show, 1896-97-98-1900. His dam, Rose Auckland—Con queror. Taking into consideration he has the Garnet—British Lion blood on his father’s side, and the Auckland — Conqueror on the mother’s, he should leave groat stock. Auckland and Garnet both have stock in this district which would be hard to outclass. YOUNG GARNET has proved to be a sure foal-getter. YOUNG GARNET has been very successful in the Show Ring, having taken three Firsts, two Seconds, and twice Champion. TERMS: Single Mare £3 3&; two or more as per agreement.
