THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast An anticyclonic pressure now prevails everywhere, and moderate to strong southwesterly winds. Rain fell in many parts during the night, while the barometer rose rapidly m the south. The present indications 1 are for a further rise in the south and, though a low pressure area still threatens the northern districts, it will probably be deflected by a rising barometer. Light and variable winds will probably prevail, and fair weather generally, though, the present conditions cannot yet bo described as settled, and another low pressure is due on Monday .next.
