ADMIRALTY PREVENT CONSTRUCTION OF GRAVING DOCK.

United I’hichh Association—CorYUiaHT

(Received January 5, 9.30 p.m.)

LONDON, Jan. 5

The “Daily Telegraph” reports that there is great indignation at Dover over the action of the Admiralty in not permitting the Graving Docks, Company to construct, in pursuance of its Act of Parliament, a graving dock large enough to admit a Dreadnought, alleging that the- position would be too exposed in war time. The scheme is estimated to cost four million sterling, and its execution would afford employment for hundreds of the unemployed.
