Mails for the Commonwealth of Australia, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, also South A Lie a, Continent of Europe, and United Kingdom, per s.s. Warrimoo, close at Wellington on Friday, 7th January, at 2.30 p.m. Ma.ds for the Commonwealth of Australia. only, via Sydney, per Victoria, close at Auckland cn Monday. 10th January, at 4.15 p.m. The Wellington-Tahiti mail servic-e, connecting at Tahiti with San Francisco service, has been extended up to May next. The dates of despatch from Wellington will be 4th January, Bth February, 16th March, 21st April, and 27th May. The mails 1 despatched via Vancouver on 23rd' November arrived at London on the afternoon of 31st December.
Money orders for places beyond New Zealand close 1 hour 30 minutes before closing of the ordinary mail. In regard to places within the colony, money orders and registered letters close 1 hour, and parcel post parcels 30 minutes before the ordinary mail. W. H. RENNER, Chief Postmaster,
