THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast: The barometer has fallen slightly everywhere, and moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed. The weather has been generally fine, though changeable. Threatening conditions still exist to the north-westward of New Zealand, and a strong easterly gale, with rain, is still not unlikely :o the northward of East Cape and Eswnia. A westerly area of low pressure is also due shortly in the south, with Aoudy and unsettled weather, hut the change has not yet shown definite signs of development.
