PROTEST BY WANGANUI HARBOR BOARD.

fPicii Pkksb Association. l - WANGANUI, Jan. 7. The Harbor Board passed the following resolution this evening: “That this Board strongly protests against any clause being inserted into the Harbor Board Amendment Bill, or in any measure, giving powers to the Governor in Council to grant leases to private nidividuals of any tidal lands within t>lio jurisdiction or control of harbor boards whereby such individuals would have power to reclaim such laud.”
