PRODUCE SALES
Messrs. F. S. Malcolm and Co. report the following prices at the Saturday b l ßoosters Is 9d to 2s 9d, ducks Is 9d. to 2s Id, fowls Is 5d to 2s Id, eggs Is Id and Is 2d, butter 9cl to lOd per lb, pastry butter 6cl to Bd, apples lid.to 2d per lb., plums do,, apricots do., lemons 6d doz., rhubarb 4s to 5s doz., turnips Is 6tl, new season’s onions lijd per lb., peas Is per peck, potatoes Id to licl per lb. HORSE 'SALES. Messrs.' Williams and Kettle yarded 4G horses at their weekly sale on Saturday morning. Hacks sold from £2 to £11; harness horses from £5 to £l4. A number of half-draughts were offered, but were passed in, the reserves not being reached. The attendance was fair, but buyers \\ ere feu, and the sale was slack. THE MATAWHEIIO YARDS. During the past, year the- follow ing numbers of sheep, cattle- and pigs passed through the Mat-awhero saleyards:—
