AVhen 400 British bluejackets landed to assist in extinguishing the fire at King George’s Palace, they were accompanied by 100 armed marines, with a flag, who pushed through the Greek troops, and taking a front position, mounted guard over the treasures. An armed escort also accompanied the Russians. . The Greek officers protested. The Athens papers are angry. The Premier explains that the escort was a usual thing, but the subject is causing irritation.
