ALTERATIONS IN MAIL SERVICES From January Ist-

Mails for Motu, Poututu, Wliakarau, Rakauroa, and Matawai close on Monday and Thursday, at 6 a.m.; Opotiki closes at 6 a.m. Thursdays; Arakihi closes at 6 a.m. Mondays ;Whenuanui (Ngatapa), a.new post office, closes Tuesdays and Fridays, at 2 p.m.; Iwiroa closes 6 a.m. Thursdays; Wheturau closes 6 a.m. Tuesdays.

Money orders for places beyond New Zealand close 1 hour 30 minutes before the closing of the ordinary mail. In regard to places within the colony, money orders and registered letters close 1 hour, and v parcel post parcels 30 minutes before the ordinary mail. W. H. RENNER, Chief Postmaster.
