Apparently insurance canvassing is not the lucrative and easy mastime what it is sometimes represented to be. An insurance agent told the Napier Court the other morning that he was paid a commission of 15 per cent. During the ipast year he had earned an average of £1 4s 8d per week. He paid 11s per week for rent, and his Worship calculated that the man had to keep himself and a delicate wife on 13s 8d per week. He declined to make an order.
