Notwithstanding the recent lengthy spell of dry weather experienced in Auckland,, and the consequent greater demands for water, the- city water supply has not by -any means been undid y affected. The dam at Waitakerei, containing 60,000,000 gallons of water, still maintains its normal height, and shows no signs of getting lower. The inflow also remains as strong as ever. Under these circumstances citizens are in the happy position of having no fear for their water supply should another ‘long spell of dry weather ensue-. In six or eight months’ time the big. storage dam, to hold 180,000,600 gallons will have been completed, and when this is done .and the dam is filled, it is .estimated that there will be an abundance of water always available, even at the driest periods of the wear. An irritated throat is quickly soothed by Z.ymole Trokeys. They increase the throat secretions and strengthen the vocal cords. Nothing better for public speakers. 1
