There was a large number of entries. Married Women's Race.—Mrs. Cunningham 1. Mrs. Marshall 2, Mis. B. Clarke 3. Eight- entries. Tilting at the Ring (ladies).— Miss N. Smitli 1, Miss N. McPhee 2, Miss Sheep-shearing Competition. Very or eat interest was taken in the competiton, which was -won on points b> J McKenzie, whilst P. Smith, from Whakarau secured second place. Putting the Shot. —M. McKenzie lj W. Brook (Motu) 2. , Combination Race (walk, trot and gallop, horse event).—Mr. R. Beaufoy secured first place on “Cakewalk, and Mr. W. MacDonald second. Nail-driving Competition (ladies).Mrs W. Cunningham 1. Mrs. M. McKenzie 2, Miss N. McPhee 3. Cigar Race (horse event;. — Mr. M. Malone- 1, Mr P. Smith 2. Chopping Competition. —About l/entries. Great interest was taken in this event, but- although a handicapped event J. Richardson once more figured as first, whilst his brother, Clias. Richardson, secured second place. Trotting Competition (horse event) — R Beaufoy (on Cakewalk) 1. R. Thom 2

A dance was 'held in Mr. Mortleman’s woolshed in the evening, and was a great success.
