CYCLING EVENTS AT SPORTS GATHERINGS.

The executive of the Taranaki Caledonian and Athletic Association to-day discussed the question of the control of cycling events at sports gatherings, ancl resolved that if the New Zealand League of Wheelmen grants permit to the Wanganui Society’s sports, it be a recommendation from the Taranaki Centre that all negotiations for a reciprocal agreement for Caledonian and League wheel-men be cancelled, and that owing to the lack of government of cycling in many parts of New Zealand by the League, the Union should take over the control of cycling.
