WAIROA AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION.
[Peis Press Automation.! WAIROA, Jan. 21. The Wairoa Show to-day : esulted very successfully. About 1860 persons were present, and the weather was splendid. There were very good exhibits in draught horses and cattle, also in light and saddle horses. Sheep might have been better in number, and. the greatest fault was over-fatness spd size. Prizes were fairly evenly divided all round. In draughts Mr. It. E. Jefferson and Mr. Vaughan were very successful, the latter winning two championships. Light hacks were a very fine lot all round. In cattle Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Vaughan each secured championships. In Hercfords the Huramua Estate and Mr. 7. F. Walker took championships. The prize for champion Lincoln ram was awarded to Mr. Jefferson, and that ror Lincoln ewe to Mr. J. H. Breen. In Romneys Mr. It. E. J offer-, a almost swept the board, taking the two championships The horticultural division was well supported, as also was the •public schools section.
