The last of the carcases have been removed, and it is hoped to have all the cargo discharged some time tomorrow. The lumpers are now working in shifts night and day. It is proposed to leave the dry wool till she is brought to dock. STOCK EXCHANGES TO .FEDERATE. The conference of representatives of Stock Exchanges, which has been sitting at Auckland, decided to recommend the federation of the Stock Exchanges of the Dominion, each exchange to have equal representation on the federated council to be created. Provision was also made for the admission of licensed sharebrokers in towns where no exchange exists. • The proposal will ho submitted to the various Stock Exchanges for approval, and if approved, the federated council will lie set up. CHEAP GAS FOR AUCKLANDERS. The directors of the Auckland Gas Company have decided to reduce the price of gas by threepence per 1000 feet (the present price being os 4d, less cash discount of lOd per 1000 feet), and to recommend an increase in the dividend of a shilling per annum. The first concession represents £6OOO a year, and the latter absorbs £2OOO. THE PORT OF NAPIER. NAPIER,. Jan. 25.
