R. L. BIGGS’ CASE.

A FATAL RESULT. [Rich Press Association.! ROTORUA, Jan. 20. R. L. Riggs, who attempted to commit suicide at the grave of his wile in the Rotorua cemetery on Christmas mornihg, died this afternoon at three o’clock, after lingering .for 31 days alter wounding himself. He was removed to the accident ward at the Sanatorium, where he remained until his death. No one was permitted to see him, and lie was looked after day and night. Up to Monday there were hopes of saving his life, but that night he showed serious symptoms, and this morning was in a comatose state, and remained so until he died. There is a feeling among some of his. acquaintances that they should have been permitted to see him while he was conscious.
