THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. B ites’ summary and forecast: A smart westerly disturbance, passed in the south 0:1 Wednesday evening, and to-day. the winds have been generally light and variable, with hazy and cloudy weather. Bdice 9 a.m. the barometer has risen two-tenths at Cape Campbell, but has risen over one-tenth at Na-'ier. RreE?nt- indications are somewhat ominous of .a change, developing a ; falling barometer. with variable winds, increasing cloud and misty rain in parts, probably preceding a strong southerly with stormy 'weather. The barometer will probably rise in the south by to-mor-r.’W evening.
